Learn more about my academic journey and research interests

I am a postdoctoral researcher at DTU Wind and Energy Systems (Denmark), working with Prof. Spyros Chatzivasileiadis. I obtained my Ph.D in Mathematical Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where I was supervised by Prof. Carlos Ruiz Mora. My doctoral research focused on machine learning and surrogate modeling for optimization.

My research interests include machine learning, probabilistic forecasting, data-driven optimization, and surrogate modeling, with a particular focus on applications in sustainable energy systems.   • Postdoctoral Researcher Danish Technical University (DTU) Wind and Energy Systems Copenhagen, Denmark 09/2025 - Present Engaged in innovative research on Trustworthy AI/ML and data-driven optimization at one of Europe's leading technical universities, with a strong focus on sustainable energy systems and power systems applications.
  • Predoctoral Researcher Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) Statistics Department Madrid, Spain 12/2021 - 06/2025 Developed expertise in machine learning and operations research within UC3M's Department of Statistics, focusing on the use of ML models as surrogates in optimization problems (such as neural network MILP reformulations), while contributing to both research and teaching activities.
  • Research Assistant Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) Computer Science Department Madrid, Spain 01/2021 - 11/2021 I began my research career at UC3M's Computer Science Department, focusing on probabilistic forecasting for regional renewable energy generation, which laid the foundation for my interdisciplinary approach to decision-making.
